Free Carbon Monoxide Testing
Here’s what you need to know about carbon monoxide (CO)—it is a toxic, odorless, colorless, and tasteless gas that can be deadly in high concentrations. Using poorly maintained or installed gas-powered appliances or burning materials within your property can cause CO emissions in your home.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):
- 400 deaths per year are caused by CO poisoning.
- 20,000 individuals a year require emergency care due to CO exposure.
- 4,000 individuals a year are hospitalized due to CO emissions.
CO exposure is a widespread problem that is more common than many people realize. Some of the most common household appliances and pieces of equipment that produce CO emissions include:
- Stoves and Ovens
Each of these appliances are designed with safety in mind, to prevent exposure to harmful emissions. However, defects or damage can cause CO to silently leak into your property without you knowing. Fortunately, all you need to do is call Aire Texas Residential Services, Inc for free CO testing. We will thoroughly inspect up to two of your home’s heating systems for existing leaks, potential leaks, or any other potential associated safety hazards.
Free Freon Testing
Also called R-22, Freon is being phased-out completely by January 2020 due to regulations set forth by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
During your free Freon test, we’ll see if your air conditioner is still using ozone-depleting R-22, and if so, we’ll discuss with you ways to upgrade your system to meet the 2020 refrigerant compliance regulations set forth by the EPA. In some cases, it may be less expensive to install a brand new cooling system, instead of upgrading the refrigerant in an aging or inefficient system.
At Aire Texas Residential Services, Inc, we will always do what we can to save you the most amount of money—including free Freon testing!
